Our beautiful, sweet friend Laurie Mickelberg was diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer in 2014. Since that time, she has been battling this disease, and has been diagnosed with recurrent ovarian cancer - twice.

With each diagnosis, Laurie has undergone very aggressive treatment - all while continuing to support her family. For Laurie, supporting her family throughout her illness often meant going into work - even when she felt too ill and fatigued to do so.

Laurie is currently undergoing treatment for her second recurrence, and is now unable to work. She currently has no other source of income with the exception of disability. Unfortunately, despite the gravity of her illness, and the proof of such being delivered to the Social Security office - these funds will still not be available to her until July of 2017 - and even those monthly funds will not be sufficient to cover those costs.

Mounting household expenses, and many, many medical bills have left Laurie with very difficult choices; and a short time ago, she was forced to make the decision to give up her car.

Though Laurie is supported by many caring friends and family, she needs additional help. Anything offered is greatly appreciated.
