Let's Help Kenneth Grieve/Heal/Transition
Donazione protetta
This is a fundraiser initiated by Friends of Kenneth: Angelica Lim, Rossella DeLeon, Freedom Allah Siyam, Dr. Valerie Francisco-Menchavez, Raul Francisco-Menchavez, Chrissi Fabro, Enrico Abadesco
We are appealing to family, friends, and those who are concerned to join our initiative to help support Kenneth during this moment of grief and healing from his Mom's recent passing.
As most of you already know, Kenneth recently lost his Mom, Cora Crebillo, to breast and bone marrow cancer last month (January 2020). Being the upstanding person that Kenneth is, he made the decision of leaving his job at Portland State University last January 2019 upon hearing that his Mom's cancer has aggressively returned. With the support of his family and friends, Kenneth was able to serve as his Mom's primary caretaker during her last few months of fighting cancer. Being the loving son that he is, Kenneth would tell those in his circle that leaving his job to spend time with his Mom was one of the best decisions he has made in his life - especially because he also lost his Father to cancer no more than 10 years ago. Kenneth would know from experience the importance of maximizing time with his loved ones.
Now that Tita Cora is resting in peace, we would like to make an appeal to Kenneth's circle to help us in supporting Kenneth during this crucial time of grieving, healing, and transition. After burying his Mother, Kenneth still has to attend to the many logistical matters following Tita Cora's passing; not to mention the hardship that he's facing with grief and loss. We appeal to those who love and care for Kenneth to help us in raising funds to support him for the next 6 months as he figures out next steps for his financial support.
Kenneth's monthly need amounts to $1500. Multiplied by 6 months, he will be needing $9000. Let's rally behind Kenneth and show him how much we care for him. Let's ensure that he gets the well-deserved time that he needs, time which he graciously and generously offered to both his parents when they were still around. Any $ helps.

"Ken has been a close friend of mine since we met in 2014. We've worked together on bringing together Filipino American youth from across the country through Kapit Bisig and presently Kabataan Alliance to take actions in meaningful ways for our community. He has always been a strong uniting force for Kabataan Alliance and our E-Board and personally, has been a great friend and listener. The E-Board and I have so much love for Ken!"
