LAFLOOD - Coach Hat and Nazy's Home
Donation protected
My First Go Fund Me adventure ... I hope it is widly successful!!
My name is JJ Safer and I started this campaign to help a family close to me and my family that has been devastated by the floods in Louisiana.
Many of you have been asking me what you can do to help, especially for the family I am spending so much time with. Well, here is the answer. If you cannot give your time then simply donate and help get this family back on their feet.
The situation is much worse than I knew. Yesterday, I understood that they had flood insurance. Today I learned (and so did they) that the coverage is only for the structure ... that means that none of the home's contents is covered by insurance.
Yesterday I was concerned for the loss of their special items that simply cannot be replaced.
Today I am at a total loss for what to do. I will continue to help with the cleanup but they are now going to need much more help.
The Family: Nazy and Hatem Bachar and their children Haytham and Camran. Truly a great family. Everyone calls Hatem "Coach Hat". He is an Olympic Decathelete from the '84 and '88 Olympics. He has been my son's soccer coach since he was three and he is a professor and teacher. I hope you have had an opportunity to meet this family because I do not have words to describe how special they are and how impactful they have been on so many others.
Please make a donation to help this amazing family get back on their feet. The money will be used to replace EVERYTHING we all take for granted each day: Clothes, furniture, bedding, etc.
