So, when I was 8 years old I started to lose the hearing in my left ear, and the doctors had no idea why. When I was 13 my dad got me my first hearing aid, but not only has the little thing disappeared, my hearing is far worse now than it was then. I tried to make do with the good ear I have, but it has gotten to the point where it is affecting my schooling, and my social life. I got my hearing checked today (12/31/14), and as suspected, my left side hearing fell off the boat and drowned (refer to picture, and may it rest in peace). The problem with needing a new hearing aid is in order to get the one I need, I have to have almost 4,000 dollars to get it. I, nor my parents, have that kind of money off hand (neither does anyone else, I am sure). But if anyone has a few bucks to spare, I'd appreciate it more than you'll ever know.
