Kalyan DANDAMUDI (Gold Coast Student) Found DEAD Today

My name is Prabha Agraja, and I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt request for your support.

Today, I stand before you deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Mr. Kalyan Chakarvarthy Dandamudi, a 27-year-old Masters student from Griffith University, Gold Coast. Originally from Hyderabad, India, Kalyan's life came to a devastating end on 18th July 2024, when his body was found on the seashore after an extensive search since 10th July 2024. It pains me to share that Kalyan has been found dead, leaving behind a grieving family in India—parents and a sister—who are shattered by this irreparable loss.

I learned of this heartbreaking loss through Kalyan's cousin Naren in India, and local friends Rupesh(Melbourne) and Ravi G from Brisbane. Though I am not related to Kalyan or his family , I am a dedicated social activist from Melbourne, committed to extending help to anyone in need, regardless of our personal connections with them.

In response to this tragedy, we have set up a GoFundMe campaign to support Kalyan's family during this difficult time. Your generous donations will be handled securely and allocated as follows:

In the wake of this tragedy, I have spoken directly with Kalyan's family and learned that they are not only mourning the loss of their beloved son and brother but also facing significant financial challenges. Unfortunately, the student insurance does not cover the expenses for transporting Kalyan's body to India or the funeral costs, adding to their distress during this already heartbreaking time.
