Hi Everyone!! My name is Jelani Ayinde and I am 9 years old. I have been playing soccer since I was 6 with Central Brooklyn Soccer Club. I love soccer. I love to play soccer, watch soccer and play Fifa 2016 (even though my Mom doesn't let me do it too much...probably because I beat her all the time). I play Center Back (sweeper), Left and Right Back (sometimes) and midfield. This year I played for our U10 and U12 teams.
In April the club is competing internationally in the Mundialito Soccer Tournament in Costa Dorada - Taragona, Spain. I am really excited to go and play. I am also excited because if I get to go, I can visit my Uncle Ato who is in the Air Force and stationed in Germany. He has only seen me play once and I would really like to surprise him with my skills. Germany is not too far from Spain, right? That's what he told me anyway.
Mom says this trip wI'll be "a wonderful experience" for me but I mostly know that I have loved soccer ever since I first picked up a ball. I play every chance I can get, I practice in the house (mom lets me even though I know she is tired of hearing the ball hit the wall), I practice my dribbling all the time and make up new tricks. Soccer is something that I love to do and I am excited to compete in Spain in April. Even though my mom and grandpa are Arsenal fans (mom just said "Go Gunners!") I like Barcelona like my Uncle Chima. It would be awesome to play against their youth teams!
Soccer is my passion and I hope to pursue it for a very long time. I want to thank anyone who can help me with my soccer journey.
