Help JP Fabre Fight Prostate Cancer

Dear all,



My name is Jean-Paul Fabre (JP). I'm 54 years old.

I've been married to my wonderful wife Conchita, for nearly 29 years now. We have two beautiful children.....Jean-Paul and Nadine, who are our whole world.

I guess we are your average family....both hard workers, juggling work and family life. I was self-employed.....Conchita is an assisstant in the insurance industry and I was an Insurance Sales producer.

Our hobbies are spending time with each other and our family and friends, taking care of health with excercise and a vegan lifestyle and of course sharing with our children.

Here is my story........

In approximately July 2016, I had some tests done, which revealed I had prostate Cancer, with a Gleason score 9, with methastasis to bone, spine, and bladder.

As you can imagine, my world then came CRASHING DOWN!!!

The Doctors said that the tumour is inoperable because of the size. I was also told that there were no other treatment options available for me, other than the possiblitly of having radiotherapy and chemoterapy. Radiation therapy however has many side effects......and some of these could be permanent. I was also told that it is NOT A CURE but rather to add a couple years of life.

As you can imagine, being treated as a private patient in any hospital or clinic around the world is quite expensve.

Due to my current symptoms and medication, I've had to stop working, and Conchita had to take long periods of work to help support the family whilst I'm undergoing treatment. Current costs that we've already incurred, through loss of income, medical expenses and treatments have totalled around $30,000.   With the  increased rates in the insurance we had to go with an even higher deductible for next year.

We've been tremendously supported by our family.....for which we are so grateful. You have all been amazing!!

Thank you also to all our wonderful friends for your well wishes, offers of help and prayers......it means so much to myself and my family. We feel truly blessed to have such wonderful support from all of you.

Finally, we would just like to say thank you to EVERYONE......especially all the lovely people that we don't even know, who have kindly donated to my fundraising campaign. Your generosity is greatly appreciated in my time of need.   May your blessings be multiplied.
