My Step Father, Bruce Thompson was diagnosed with brain cancer at age 37. My little sister, Jennah was only 15 months old. Since then he has endured 3 brain surgeries, numerous trips to Mass General Hospital in Boston and countless rounds of chemo and radiation. 10 years later, he is still fighting this horrible disease.

In November 2012 the cancer was diagnosed as a grade 4 Glioblastoma or GBM. As you may know cancer takes its toll on a family: both emotionally and finacially. Since then my parents have had to file bankruptcy due to medical bills/ credit cards for living expenses while my mom was out of work to take care of Bruce. Now with the credit cards gone they have nothing to "fall back on".

Over the last month Bruce has been having difficulty walking and now has to use a cane and a wheelchair when needed. Due to this, they did another MRI. Our family received the news that the treatment Bruce is doing every two weeks is no longer working. 

As a last stitch effort to fight this agressive cancer Boston is referring him to New Hampshire to try one last treatment. Since my Mom has been staying home to take care of Bruce since December this trip is impossible without some help.
