Harka Self-Sustaining Orphan Home

Help me fund a new scooter for Laxmi, the vivacious, spirited organizer of the Harka Orphan Home that I so adore in Bharatpur, Nepal!

As of this past summer, Laxmi\'s adored purple moped/scooter was missing from the scene at Harka Orphan Home. This crucial mode of transportation allows Laxmi to commute with ease to and from work to the orphanage, and without it, travel on public transit becomes costly and inefficient. Thus the kids miss out on Laxmi-love time (and let me tell you, she is a wealth of overwhelming love), and Laxmi is not able to keep tabs on the kids and the functioning of the orphan home.

I arrive in Nepal on March 6th, and would like to raise as much as possible by then! I will be at Harka for about 3 weeks, until the end of March.

For all those who do not know of my connection with Harka and my past trip in 2008, please please please check out my blog @ www.morethanmountains.blogspot.com
