There are 29.8 million people enslaved around the world. 29.8 million. As a representation of the enormety of this issue, we want to raise just one penny for every ten humans who are enslaved in the world today.
Through a cross-country biking trip, we hope to raise $29,8000 to combat global slavery. 100% of the proceeds from this trip will go to The A21 Campaign, the world's largest anti-human trafficking organization.
Our biking trip is planned for the summer of 2014. The route spans from Savannah, Georgia to in San Francisco, California, weaving from the east to the west coast of the United States. Our journey will commence on the shores of the Atlantic and conclude in the surf of the Pacific. We will traverse through several iconic American landmarks: the great plains of Oklahoma, the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, and many more. The tour will last 45 days, from May 27-July 11, 2014.
