Dear friends and compassionate souls,
I find myself in an overwhelmingly challenging situation, and I’m reaching out for your help. After the agonizing decision to have nearly all my teeth removed, I was devastated to learn that I no longer qualify for Medi-Cal funded dental insurance. I’m left with just eight teeth — none in the front — and the emotional toll of this transformation weighs heavily on me.
Alongside the struggle of my appearance, I face a more pressing concern: my ability to eat properly. The lack of teeth has made it nearly impossible to enjoy nutritious meals, which is detrimental to my health and well-being. I’m unable to nourish my body as I should, and every day becomes a battle for survival.
Just as I was beginning to gather support, life delivered another blow. I lost my job as a caregiver for seniors with dementia, leaving me with an uncertain future. While I’ve managed to raise $1,400 towards my dentures, I recently discovered that Medi-Cal refuses to cover the costs of my extractions, leaving me with an unexpected bill of $550. This amount must be paid before any further dental care can be provided, and I’m feeling lost and hopeless.
I am humbly asking for your kindness and generosity in contributing to this urgent need. Every dollar brings me closer to regaining my smile, my ability to eat well, and my overall health. If you can, please consider donating or sharing my story. Your support would mean the world to me during this difficult time.
Thank you for taking the time to read my plea. Together, we can make a difference.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Nancy Carr
