My husband, Daryl Galloway, went into the ER on September 4th with symptoms of headaches, confusion, and extreme fatigue. Emanuel Medical Center told us he had two masses in the frontal lobe. We were and are devastated. He was then sent by ambulance to Doctors Medical Center. After countless tests, he had brain surgery on September 9th to remove the tumor. The doctor stated that he removed most of the tumor, but my husband still needs radiation and chemotherapy to stop any other cancer cells from growing. With that being said, this cancer is manageable, but not curable. 

The brain cancer is called Glioblastoma, and it is the most aggressive brain cancer there is. 

He starts his radiation/ chemo this on the 7th of October. We are also seeking second opinions from UCSF and Stanford, but for now, we will be staying in Turlock. We have a Stanford Dr at the cancer center here.

The positives in all this are he has no cancer in the rest of his body, and his blood work is perfect. 

We are doing as well as we can managing the pain, and he is sleeping much better.

Daryl does not give up. He and I are fighters and we will win this fight.

We have a long road ahead, but with family, friends, the MoHi family behind us and his baseball family we can beat this.

My husband is a Modesto High Teacher and a Varsity Baseball Coach at Enochs High School.
