Experienced Montessori Teacher Dreaming Big in Tanzania!
Dream Big Montessori School was opened in January 2013 by Canadians who saw a need for the children in the village to have a safe and happy place to learn. They are making the change they saw was needed in the world and I want to help them.
I'm Cicily Douglass and I've been scrimping and saving, working extra jobs and forgoing a social life for the last few years. I've bought my airline tickets, insurance and visas. I need you to help me with the few fixed expenses that can't be avoided while I'm away, immunizations and prescriptions (Epi-Pens and malaria tablets), incidental expenses, and school supplies. As a minimum I will need to raise $1,000 but the more money I raise, the more school supplies I can take and the less debt I will be carrying when I get back to my students at Prince Edward Montessori in Port Credit, Ontario.
On June 16th, 2013, I will begin the exciting part of my journey! When I arrive at Dream Big Montessori near Mwanza, Tanzania, I will be working both with the children and with Montessori teachers in training. When I leave in August, I hope that my small contribution will have had an impact on the future of the children.
Thank you for your generosity:Keep dreaming big!
