Tragedy has struck the small town of Mayo, Yukon, which has left the family, friends and community of Peter Young devastated. On January 10th, 2021, Peter’s life was taken too soon by the hands of another. 

Peter was a family man who took great care of his children; Ava (9) and Asher (6). His children are left without their Father who provided tremendously for them.

Family, friends, community members and Yukoners have been an incredibly helpful and supportive during this devastating time in their lives.  The family would like to thank everyone who has gone above and beyond in their time of grief.

The family has had many offers of financial support for the children. In turn, we have set up this GoFundMe to ensure the financial security of Peter’s children’s futures. Moving forward, this can allow the children to live their lives without monetary hardships. These funds will be given to the Grandmother of the children and Peter’s mother, Beverley.

A service for Peter will be held on May 22nd, 2021.
