Hi everyone, thank you on behalf of Ghana's Little Helpers for taking the time to visit our page. As some of you may be aware, last summer we gave our time to volunteer in Ghana within a Fanti village called Saltpond. During our time in Ghana we came across a young boy called Ato our host brother, who suffers from Mitral Valve prolapse meaning that one of the mitral leaflets (flaps) are floppy nd therefore do not close tightly which often leads to a back flow of blood. Ato has a severe form of mitral regurgitation, due to this unfortunately Ato is not able to do the things that normal 5 year olds enjoy doing. Ato's parents are hoping to send him over to India in order to receive surgery to save their sons life. The surgery will cost up to £4000 but due to financial trouble they have not been able to raise the full amount. GLH are therefore fundraising to help save Ato's life and we need your help. We would really appreciate it if you could keep Ato in your prayers, but also if you could make a small donation, it would be great help.
