Hi, this is Andy Thompson. My cousin, Angela, is a sweet, active 13 year old with Down syndrome who miraculously survived a Cessna 150 plane crash piloted by her loving father on Sunday evening, November 14, 2021. She was initially able to move her legs, but stopped approximately 10 minutes before arriving to the ER. She has multiple injuries, most severe of which is a T12 spine compression fracture causing spinal cord compression/damage. She is getting decompression surgery and fusion from T8-L3 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. She will require ongoing therapy/rehab, and we are hoping that she is able to regain the ability to walk and use her legs. Please consider donating, as her father, Chris, is also hospitalized with mulitple painful but not life-threatening injuries that will likely keep him out of work for some time. We have no idea how much to expect with regard to medical expenses, equipment that will be required, etc. We will post updates when more information becomes available. Thank you!
