Metamorphosis Book Club

       
      I'm Desiree Nickens, a 4th grade educator, avid reader, and founder of Metamorphosis Book Club. In 2013 I joined a book club for adults and being a member inspired me to create a book club for young girls. The Metamorphosis Book Club was created in August 2013. It is our mission to promote literacy to young ladies by exposing them to meaningful literature to analyze and discuss. Here we encourage our members to be independent thinkers, and eloquent speakers while developing the desire to read. Through all our initiatives, we will produce well read, confident speakers and thinkers that love to read and read to learn.
       It is our desire to continue to provide this service free of charge to all members. We encourage you to help us by making a donation to help fund our club. Your contributions will be used to purchase books, supply food and beverages for the meetings,  and finance field trips that promote social and or academic growth. Thank you in advance for opening your heart and giving to an organization that promotes sisterhood, literacy, and self confidence.
