My Journey to Miss United States

On March 30th, 2014, I had the opportunity to compete for the title of Miss Massachusetts United States ...and won!
I'm ecstatic to be representing Massachusetts on stage in Washington DC at the national competition. Preliminaries will be held Saturday, July 5th, and on Sunday, July 6th, a new Miss United States will be crowned!
The Miss United States Organization is a national partner of Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. Additionally, the organization is committed to promoting each title holder's platform for service! As an RN working at MGH Boston in the Newborn Family Unit, I work with mothers and their newborns post delivery. My year of reign is dedicated to my platform, breast cancer research and awareness. My best friend's mother, who's like a second mother to me, battled breast cancer. This close experience gave me a greater understanding and I believe it is extremely important to continue raising awareness and research to find a cure.
