Fundraiser for Jason Tiller

Donation protected
We the members of the Tiller family are setting up this Go Fund Me page for our brother Jason Tiller. Jason first took sick on January 20th and his condition worsened until he was finally admitted to Gander hospital with what appeared to be pleurisy pneumonia on February 28th. At this time the infection in his lungs had become so bad that it caused his lungs to fill with fluid and collapse. The doctors tried to drain the fluid from his lungs and clear up the infection, But after trying this for a couple of weeks it became apparent they needed to send him to St. john's for more specialized care. The time spent in both hospitals was approximately 1 month in hope that when he was released he would have 6 weeks recovering at home with antibiotics. Unfortunately, this was not the case. His condition worsened again and his lungs yet again filled with infection and fluid. He then underwent a week of antibiotics by intravenous. Unfortunately, this did not work, and his condition worsened yet again and was admitted to St. Clare’s on April 15th and had to undergo an 8-hour surgery to clean out the infection on April 16th. At this point his lungs were yet again filled with fluid and infection to the point that one of his lungs had moved up close to his throat and his liver was where his lungs should be. Jason now has many months of recovery ahead of him. No one is certain at this point how long this will take. Unfortunately, On top of the expense for expensive medications and the cost for Nancy to be in St John's with him, It appears he will not be able to return to crab and lobster fishing when it opens this year.
Anyone that knows Jason, knows what a wonderful, kind and caring person he is and what a great sense of humor he has. He loves to put a smile on everyone’s face and if he thinks there is someone in need, He will do without himself, even if that meant literally taking the shirt of his own back to give to someone else. So now we are asking for your help in assisting Jason and his family in anyway that you can. All help, No matter how big or small would be greatly appreciated. Jason is still hospitalized and it is unclear at this point when he will be released. We do know his recovery will take months, once he is released. So, we are asking for your assistance to help lower the cost for Jason and his family and take some stress off them while he is recovering. I think we all know what type of effect stress can have on our health and so we are hoping that if we can relieve some of the financial stress that Jason and his family are going through.
Jason and his family would like to thank you all in advance for your generosity.

God Bless,
The Tiller Family
