Meet Diane. A school social worker, police wife, mother of 5, and Wonder Woman to all who know her.
Diane, and her husband Scott, married 23 years, are a very private couple, so you may not know that Diane was diagnosed with cancer in January 2023. She underwent six weeks of simultaneous chemotherapy and radiation, which included an emergency hospital stay for 7 days. Diane is one of the strongest, kindest, selfless people you’ll ever meet.
The celebration of Diane’s cancer being clear in April was short lived, due to the debilitating side effects of treatment. Diane’s blood counts have fallen to critically low levels, but despite this, Diane attempted a return to work in September. Her side effects and overall condition worsened and she was forced to leave work once again.
Over the last several weeks, Diane has been treated with ongoing blood transfusions, but her condition has not improved. Diane’s condition has gotten much worse, and is now hospitalized with worsening kidney failure. She has lost nearly 40 lbs.
Diane will soon run out of sick time, forcing her to be on disability, causing an extreme financial and emotional hardship for the family. Scott has also been faced with a work related injury and has not worked since July.
The Madore family is hopeful doctors will be able to provide them with answers and treatment going forward. The road ahead is unknown, but with the love and support of friends and family, we can take this journey together. The Madore family appreciates any help you can provide. Please pray and share.
