Help Support Carmen in Her Fight Against Breast Cancer

We are raising funds for our dear friend and coworker, Carmen Sellers, a single mom of three boys and three kitties, is a dedicated labour and delivery nurse who has spent her career caring for 1000s of mothers, babies, and families during some of the most important and vulnerable moments of their lives. Now, Carmen needs our help.

On July 17th, Carmen was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma triple negative breast cancer, an especially aggressive form of breast cancer. Her treatment plan will involve at least 6 months of chemotherapy, followed by radiation therapy and surgery. Doctors have told her to prepare for at least a year away from work as she focuses on healing.

As you can imagine, this sudden diagnosis has brought not only emotional challenges but also financial stress. Carmen is a devoted nurse, colleague, friend, and family member — someone who always puts others first. Now it’s our turn to support her.

The funds raised will help Carmen and her family cover:

Day-to-day living expenses while she cannot work

Out-of-pocket medical costs, such as travel out of town for appointments

Additional needs that arise during this long treatment journey
