On May 1, 2024, Louie boy went missing from their bush camp 17 kilometers west of the community of Waskaganish.

A search was conducted by ground, air & water. After one aerial search, with help from Panorama Helicopters, Louie boy’s coco melon doll was found in the water 5 kilometers away from their camp.

As of today, the search & recovery continues by boat. This go fund me account has been set up for the expenses of the search & recovery.
