Small Change

Some say you have to make your own luck. We disagree. Luck’s too hard of a thing to come by these days to leave up to some silly expression. With our project, Small Change, we want to make other people’s luck. All with some lucky pennies.

The idea is simple: Make the smallest donation possible on this page, we’ll convert it into pennies, and spread them around London so people can find some good luck of their own.

Luck isn’t just some childish thing either. A study by the acclaimed psychologist Richard Wiseman showed that people who feel lucky “tend to attract more good fortune because they create and notice more chance opportunities, are more resilient and are more likely to have self-fulfilling positive expectations.” Not just that, but another study from Cornell University found that when people “feel more grateful they tend to be more generous.” So, by making a donation to Small Change, you’ll be spreading even more generosity.
