On Halloween night, what was supposed to be a fun and safe celebration turned into a heartbreaking and traumatic memory for our family. Our mom, dad, and another guest were shot at the Halloween party we were hosting. Both of our parents were critically injured and are now facing a long and uncertain road to recovery.
Our family of six is doing everything we can to stay strong, but with our parents unable to work for the foreseeable future, we’re struggling to keep up with medical bills, household expenses, and basic needs. Right now, us four children are the only ones working, doing our best to hold things together and support each other through this unimaginable time.
This experience has completely shaken our family to the core. The pain and fear we’re living with every day are overwhelming, but we’re holding on to hope and faith that our parents will heal.
