For nearly 30 years scholars, screwballs, and sophisticates alike have convened at KGB Bar, located on the second floor of 85 E. 4th Street in downtown New York. This gofundme campaign has been created to provide support to the KGB Bar staff affected by COVID-19.
100% of funds will be distributed to the six bartenders, three bouncers, and porter comprising KGB's staff.
By now (early May) I'm sure many of us who have been in a situation to donate to our favorite local spots have already done so, and may be feeling some donation-fatigue. Listen, they're a prideful staff. It took two months to convince them to let me make this gofundme. They know once their doors do reopen – whenever the day comes – they're going to be facing maximum capacity restrictions and/or a much slower summer crowd. Rest assured, our help means a lot to them.
