5km in honor of Tadhg's 18th birthday

My name is Kariann, and my son Tadhg passed away twelve years ago aged five. This year he will be 18 on the 8th October and how I would love to celebrate with him. There are no words to explain how much i miss his happy little voice skipping around with his most beautiful face that I yearn to kiss. My first born, my first premature baby, my first uncontrollable love when I had him. I know for a fact he is still the little messer now like he was when he was five. He will always be that missing part of me that i just cannot fill so this is how i try. Helping others in his honor and memory that i hope will continue on. We have raised over €250,000 in his honor since and will continue to until I can't. This years challenge is a 5km challenge in Poppintree Park on Saturday 7th of October at 9.30 and if you cant make poppintree Park you can organise one in your area and let us know. Donate as little or as much as you like. All funds raised this year will be going to Muscular Dystrophy Ireland. In August 2023, the Walk4Ollie, a 200km across Ireland inspired by Ollie Hickey, a 9 year old boy from Enfield Co. Meath who suffers from  a rare neuromuscular condition, helped raised vital funds & awareness for MDI. The funds raised here will further enhance the ‘Home from Home’ Self Catering Apartments, located at MDI House and National Resource Centre in Chapelizod, Dublin 20. These are self contained fully wheelchair accessible apartments which are available for short term stays for people with a physical disability. This four star approved self catering apartment consists of 4 bedrooms, a kitchen and a lounge area.
