My 47 y/o husband had a stroke on July7th that left him completely blind in his left eye and with weakness on left side extremities.

As a commercial driver, his vision was imperative with transporting safely.

He lost his job and due to his inability to work he doesn’t qualifying for unemployment or workman’s compensation.

Then on Friday August 8th/9th while protecting our animals he was shot in his right leg by a high power rifle.

Which resulted in his right leg being blown off.

After being airlifted to the hospital, he lost his leg up to the hip. He has had 2 surgeries on his leg and a GI surgery. He had 23 blood transfusions during his stay at the hospital.

As a family we are asking for help. Curtis was the primary provider for our family since I am disabled. Without any money coming in and waiting for disability we are struggling. We don’t have a car and we are in a rural area without public transportation.

Filing for disability is a lengthy process and we will be homeless before it would kick in.

We aren't asking for much just the chance to be able to pay our bills and upcoming hospital bills.

For a man that provides for his family, this unfortunate circumstance has halted any chances for security and financial stability.

Things are financially difficult for us without having an income coming in.

I would never post this but it has been advised by his doctor's since they know it's a lengthy process to get help for the disabled.

The bills don't stop and without a means to work then we are subject to doing a fundraiser.

UPDATE: 

Curtis now has his prosthetic leg and is working on walking fully wifh it. 

Unfortunately, we were evicted in December and we were lucky we had a "friend" to stay with. We lost nearly all of our possessions through this eviction. 

Unfortunately, the person we were staying with turned out to be mentally unstable and a massive alcoholic. He tormented us and traumatized us for the three months we stayed there. Recently, while he was drunk he threatened our lives and we had to have the police help us to move out. We are homeless now. 

We don't have any family on either side to help us. We are alone and have lost everything we own. We have no where to live and have no income while waiting for disability. 

Here's the downfall- since we don't have an address I don't have one to update out caseworkers with. 

We are in a time of need and if anyone could help us, please do. If not then please pray and share our story so hopefully by word of mouth, Curtis qnd I could get the help we need. 

This is the lowest time in both of our lives. We used to live a life of luxury but now, we have become the most humble people ever.
