Hi my name is RACHAEL STUART My daughter is Caitlin Stuart she was born with end stage renal failure and had her first surgery at 2 days old and has had over 120 surgeries since, which means she has spent alot of her life in and out of hospital,
Caitlin is now 20 and currently on her third transplanted kidney, which is now functioning at only 30%.
Caitlin has done her maths/English and science 4 times in the last 5 years ,but due to her ongoing health challenges she has not been able to pass them and this has prevented her from progressing in her dream of becoming a veterinarian. Despite her determination, she has faced numerous setbacks due to frequent hospital visits that hindered her ability to achieve the necessary grades for vet school.
She has applied for various jobs within the animal industry but, due to fatigue and health issues, many roles are simply not feasible without support.
Nevertheless, she has shown incredible resilience by obtaining a pass in Animal Care Level 2 and a merit in Animal Handling Level 2, even while battling kidney rejection and undergoing intensive treatments and a coma we thought she wouldn’t recover from,Her commitment to working with animals is truly inspiring.
During her studies, she completed a placement at an animal grooming facility and has taken on pet-sitting responsibilities for others while caring for her own diverse array of pets at home. After exploring numerous options and receiving little assistance from local colleges regarding her unique needs, we found a compassionate training center that understands the challenges faced by individuals with health issues like Caitlin’s and know that is a lifelong illness.
The director of this center spent nearly two hours discussing potential pathways forward with us and even offered Caitlin accommodation for her so she wouldn’t have to commute,
For the first time in a long while, I saw my daughter light up with hope and excitement about her future.
She has decided to pursue a career in dog grooming, pet daycare, and pet sitting—areas where she can thrive despite her health challenges.
However, due to various external factors, she cannot afford the course fees required to embark on this new journey. We are seeking your support to raise £10,000 so that she can receive the training she desperately needs to succeed in this fulfilling career path. Your generosity will not only help cover tuition,it will help her set up her own grooming and daycare business,
but also empower my daughter to follow her passion for working with animals.
Caitlin is a wonderful young woman and finally she might be able to live her dream despite her disability,
please help her
thank you
