On February 9, 2018, the rug was pulled out from under Karen Fenderson's feet.  The man she was supposed to spend the rest of her life with was suddenly taken from her.  Her beloved Derek Van Metre passed away.  We had all just celebrated his 50th birthday.  Everything that she and Derek had worked so hard towards these last 10 years is gone.

As Karen now tries to put her life back together, she will now need the help of our community.  That's where we come in.  Karen will need help paying the rent and bills until she can get her feet back under her.  

She has not asked for this help, but she will need it.  She is trying to survive day-to-day and this financial assistance will help make each day, at least, a little easier.
