Trump's administration has ended kDACA as we know it, over 24,000 fellow Georgia dreamers and their families will be affected . They will lose their jobs and possibly face deportation. Jeff Sessions's message to the country was derogatory and untrue . The Trump Administration has given DACA Recipients whose work permits expire before March 5th 2018 until October 5TH 2017 to submit their renewal applications. Many of the Undocumented Youth are low income and cannot immediately pay $495 for their application in a short amount of time. Renewing DACA will allow them to remain safe from deportation for the next two years. The work permits will remain valid until expiration date, after October 5th 2017 no work permits will be able to be renewed.
While we wait for congress to come up with a legislation, we must support our fellow neighbors, friends and community members. Please consider donating any amount to the fellow undocumented youth of Georgia, or sponsor a student. GUYA will dispense the funds by prioritizing those with financial hardships. All applications will be filed by local immigration lawyers at no cost.
