The news nobody wants to receive. Last night, 3rd January Liam Hamilton was out when he got the devastating message to say his rental house was on fire. Completely burnt. Nothing salvageable.
He has lost everything he owned. He has been left with just the shirt on his back - making the rest of us realise how much we take for granted simple things like putting a clean pair of socks on, or changing dirty shoes, or coming up with a sport uniform or a work uniform.
Liam had moved out of home in Echuca to Cootamundra last year & was loving his job and enjoying life. He is a kind hearted, proud, hardworking, humble person, who never imagined he would be in this position. Watching him face the loss of his rental house, his belongings, and the uncertainty of having nowhere permanent to live — has been devastating.
He already had to establish himself after losing everything in our family house fire in 2021 & now again it is complete devastation. He lost everything he worked hard for. All his personal belongings, household items, camping, fishing, hunting, 4WD & cricket gear.
Thank you for showing compassion, love, and support during a time when he needs it most.
Any support to Liam will be very much appreciated.
