Asking For Help For My Loving Father

My name is Stacey and I am very sad to say we will be losing him in the next week or so. My father is 56 years old, and my hero. He has always been my strength, and my biggest supporter. Unfortunately in March of 2016 he was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer. He put up a hell of a fight, with the chemo, the experimental drugs, the hospitalizations, and all the pain which came from it. They gave him a year to live, and even then he proved them wrong and lasted longer. Just like he said he would. Unfortunately even a bad ass like my dad isn't strong enough to fight the evil of the big scary bladder cancer. This is where my story changes for the worst. Just when we thought we got him on the right medication regimen, and doing better, we were smacked with his health dramatically declining. All the hope we finally had was shattered. First the MRI showed us that after all the efforts and pain, the cancer had eaten almost completely up through his stomach. Then it was that the doctors were sending him home on hospice because there was nothing more they could do. Then this past Friday his liver and kidneys started to shut down, which I knew was the first stage, and our luck had run out. A day later, on his 56th birthday, he woke up yellow. The jaundice had set in. We all know what that means, and I cannot begin to tell you the shock on my face and in my heart when I saw it for the first time. It became so much more real this instant. I am pleased to say that his birthday was a great turn out and it was the happiest I've seen him in months. We all hugged him and took pictures feeling so happy, yet knowing this was the end. Now this is where my plea starts. I am young, and I work my butt off to take care of myself and Maya. I never ask for help and I always figure it out myself, because that's who I am, and that is who my dad is. However , even a bad ass daughter and father need help sometimes. It's not easy for me, but I am creating this gofundme today to ask for help. Beyond my stubbornness lies my need to give my dad all that he deserves now. Please find it in your heart to donate anything you can. Remember every $10 matters, and it's adds up. If you are unable to donate at this time please share this post and/or keep my family in your prayers. Thank you very much and god bless you. Love always, Daddy's girl
