Spike CF

Hello friends and family! As I enter my senior year of high school, we are asked to create a project so that we can graduate in the spring of 2018. I decided to focus on using something that I am very passionate about, volleyball, to help someone who is extremely close to my heart. My godmother was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic illness, a death sentence characterized by malnourishment, diabetes and chronic lung infections eventually leading to respiratory failure. When Mandy Elmore was born with Cystic Fibrosis in 1973, her parents were told she would not live to see her 5th birthday.

Thankfully, God had other plans.

With family, doctors and friends by her side, Mandy beat the prognosis. Now, at 44, she is married to the love of her life and continues to fight CF everyday taking up to 60 pills a day and four hours of breathing treatments a day. New treatments are on the horizon which treat the underlying cause of CF. Every dollar raised buys research and research adds years to CF patients' lives.

I have created a 4 on 4 beach volleyball tournament that will be held on Saturday, September 9th from 5:30-9:30 at the Beach at Craig Ranch. It is 15$ per person, so 60$ per team, and proceeds after the facility will go to the CF foundation. If you cannot attend the tournament, or wish to donate more, please use this link!
