Dear friends and family,

As many of you know, my best friend Jamie was recently diagnosed with breast cancer at just 35 years old. This devastating news comes just months after she welcomed her baby in February, and she also has a 7-year-old son. Jamie is facing a challenging journey ahead, including a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, possible radiation, and extensive recovery and reconstruction surgeries.

Her doctors have advised that the next few months will be incredibly tough. Jamie will need to focus on her recovery, which means resting every day. While her husband will be taking time off work to care for her and their children, the financial burden will still be significant. With medical bills, travel expenses for doctor visits, money for take out meals since it’ll be difficult for Jamie to cook and daily needs for their family, money will be tight.

In addition to hospital expenses, there are many other costs to consider, such as groceries, diapers for the baby, supplies for their rescue animals, and special items like mitts and foot warmers to help prevent neuropathy during chemotherapy.

We want to ease some of this financial stress so Jamie can concentrate on her fight against cancer and her recovery. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help cover these essential expenses and support her family during this difficult time.
