My name is Rachael Wagner and I am a makeup artist trying to raise money for travel expenses to a competition!
About the Competition:
IMATS stands for the International Makeup Artist Trade Show, it is
the world's biggest makeup artist convention. The IMATS "Battle of the Brushes" Student Competition is an event for recent graduates of makeup schools to show their skills to compete for prestige. Only eight competitors out of thousands of applicants are selected for each competition, I have been selected as a finalist in the "Character/ Prosthetic" competition located in Sydney, Australia. Now if only I can get there!

About the Artist:
I was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and thus grew up on sweet tea, grits and kindness. After graduating college in NC with a degree in Art Education, I moved to New York to study makeup artistry at the Makeup Designory (MUD) located in SoHo. Since graduation from MUD, I have been building my resume and working as much as I can in film, TV, editorial and theatre. I am hoping to add a new line to it as an IMATS Sydney Competitor! I previously competed at IMATS in NY this year, and though I did not place, I have not given up hope for a place in Sydney! This is my last IMATS opportunity to compete since I will soon be past the one-year-graduation requirement. Sydney is my last chance!

Reason for the "gofundme":
As everyone knows school is expensive, and I've been to two! The process of paying for my North Carolina college and Makeup Designory's program has left me without a way to pay for getting to Sydney. Travel to and in Sydney is surprisingly expensive!
This adventure would be a once-in-a-lifetime, and one I'd hate to miss! Please help me get there if you can, any little bit helps! :)
