Hi, I am a married truck driver who is currently off work because my wife is very sick in a hospital 250 miles away from my home. I am having to rent a hotel room in the vicinity of the hospital and travel back and forth sharing the time with my daughter who exchanges the time with her so we are driving home and back every few days so that someone is home because we have pets to care for also. It’s been 4 weeks so far and a remedy or cure for her is no nearer. Once she is able to move they want $5,000 up front for transport to a rehab facility near our home. So far it’s been costing me over $1,000 per week and I am running out of money fast.

Am not a scrounger and doing this makes me feel ashamed but I have to do it.

Saturday December 6th 10.45 pm I just got a call from the hospital and at that time of night it terrified me because I thought I was about to get bad news but no, a doctor was asking my permission to go put her back on a ventilator because she is having difficulty breathing, I immediately agreed, I want them to do everything to bring my darling wife back. So after 7 weeks in this hospital it’s even worse than going back to square one.
