Paxton is my 8 month old micro Yorkie. He needs surgery (liver shunt) in order to live. Unfortunately, the surgery bills add up to $4,000-$6,000. The testing cost me $2,120. Update to the Update:The doctor had a very thick accent, so bare with me. She said he is in critical condition. His liver is very small and puppies have an artery that is supposed to collapse or go away as they transition. It looks like Paxton's has not and is pouring toxic blood to his liver. I think she said chunks of liver is in his blood, but the accent...They are running more tests to see about surgery. This is a $3,000.00 procedure to save his life. My poor little guy. I just want to hold him. He kissed me before they took him back. Update: Paxton is at NC State Small Animal Internal Medicine. I'm in the waiting room with Elson. I've been crying and praying. I will know more soon. Paxton has been throwing up and has the runs. Elson dropped him off at the vet. And, after testing, he is being transferred because it is serious. Please pray.
