Stephen was a kind and gentle young man who found peace and joy in nature. He was intelligent, thoughtful, and empathetic — anyone who knew him loved him. He cherished hiking in upstate New York at Pointe Au Roche, walking and biking outdoors, and sharing his love of cooking with his mom. He found connection in playing video games online with his brother Robert and held close the memories of a special family trip to Europe, especially the time spent in Sweden. Above all, Stephen showed deep love and care to those closest to him. A devoted son, brother, and friend, his presence touched countless lives.

With heavy hearts, we share that Stephen suddenly and unexpectedly passed away this weekend. His family is now facing the unimaginable grief of this loss, along with the burden of final expenses.

In AA, we learn to dedicate our lives to serving others, walking together in fellowship, and carrying one another through times of struggle. Today, we call on that same spirit of love and unity to surround Stephen’s mother, Jan, with the compassion, strength, and support of the “we” of the program.

We are raising funds to help ease the financial burden of final expenses so that Jan and her family can focus on grieving, healing, and honoring Stephen’s memory. Every gift, no matter the amount, is an act of service and love — a reminder that none of us has to walk through pain alone.
