Medical Mission- Guatemala Jan 2015
Donation protected
Hello Everyone!
My name is Jackie Simonson and I am a Physician Assistant student from Staten Island, New York. I have always had a passion for helping others and that sent me on my road to becoming a PA. When I began my college career, I attended SUNY New Paltz and received a bachelor's degree in biology. I began shadowing Physician Assistants and realized that it was the career choice for me. I have been a PA student at Wagner College for 2 years and I couldn't be happier. This year, Wagner is sending a group of PA students and alumni from the program to Guatemala in January 2015 to provide medical care to the rural communities. We will be administering physical exams, performing screening tests and vital signs, and prescribing and distributing medications. I will be working on my spanish skills and brushing up on my clinical skills in preparation for this amazing opportunity.
I can't believe that I am lucky enough to have a career helping the people of the US and now, I have the opportunity to journey to Guatemala to help people there. I just need the funding to go!
Keep in mind that this is not a donation to me, but rather a donation for me to be able to help others. Thank you for helping to make the world a better place.
Any donations made offline will not be charged fees from gofundme and will still be visible on the page! So donations offline will be gladly accepted.
ALSO! All money earned exceeding my goal will be used to buy medications and supplies needed by the citizens of Guatemala.
Thank you!! XOXO
Jackie
