Cindy's Fight

They say that being a nurse is the art of helping and the miracle of hope. That is the perfect way to describe Cindy. In a year that has brought us all the unexpected, she worked frontline amidst a pandemic, providing care, hope, love and support to those who needed it most at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in the ICU. It’s not a surprise the Cindy chose nursing as her career. She is always there for her friends- whenever, wherever. If you need someone she’s there with a smile, a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen. Now Cindy needs us.
She has recently been diagnosed with Lymphoma- a cancer that effects the lymph nodes. As we all know, cancer takes an emotional, physical, psychological and financial toll on those affected. Cindy is expected to be off work for at least 6 months, and starts chemo this week. We are raising money to help offset some of the financial burden so Cindy can focus her energy on getting well – well enough to go back to playing washers with her family, planning adventures with her friends, and traveling the world.
Any amount is appreciated and will go a long way. The money will be directly used to help Cindy financially. We all love Cindy and want to help in any way we can for when there is great love there are great miracles.
