Hey everyone Andy and Stacie here. We are getting married on June 28th! Celebrate! Woo!
As many of you know we have been planning an amazing honeymoon pilgrimage through Europe to the Holy Land.
"Leaving home in search of the sacred is a persistent theme in human history. Religious traditions are marked by pilgrims seeking truth, meaning, and holy places."
We will be traveling abroad for a month, and while there will be many fun stops along the way, the purpose of this trip is to make our first pilgrimage to the Holy Land together. To partake of the special spirit that is there. To walk where the Savior walked, to follow the journey of his life and ministry, and to strengthen our witness of his atonement and resurrection.
This will be the journey of a lifetime, and the foundation on which we want to build our marriage, family, and future.
Yes. It is expensive. We have planned and saved and invested a lot already. Recent changes in our work situations have made it so that we are still about $5000 short, and we are now less than a month away from our departure. Flights have been purchased and we are going either way. But this is the difference between sleeping in a bed, with three square meals a day, and sleeping in a car and eating power bars and falafels for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
In lieu of wedding gifts, we would be so grateful for your donations to our pilgrimage fund. Every little bit helps, and we would love for you to be a part of this adventure with us as we begin our new life together.
We love you guys and are so thankful to you for even looking at this. As you can see, we have some fun ways to thank you for your generosity, and hope to put ALL of your prayers in at the Western Wall... and to do at least a few Egyptian dances in front of the pyramids (filmed and posted on facebook just for you!). :)
