Meet Greyson:
Greyson is a precious 2 year old who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in May, 2023. It has been an absolute emotional whirlwind for his family since his diagnosis.
While trying to come to terms with his diagnosis, they have also had to spend countless hours researching his brain tumor and potential treatment options for Greyson to have the best possible outcome.
All of this while also welcoming their second son one week after Greyson’s biopsy.
They have also recently learned that Greyson’s brain tumor is much more complicated than they originally thought. They have been able to get opinions from some of the top pediatric neurosurgeons in the United States and have had to make some extremely difficult decisions that no parent should have to make.
The journey that lies ahead is a terrifying one. They will be traveling to Boston, the leading pediatric brain tumor hospital in the country, in December for Greyson to have a major brain surgery. This surgery is to remove as much of Greyson’s tumor that they are safely able to remove, while leaving all major brain functions intact.
This will not be a complete removal since that is not possible due to the challenging location of the tumor itself. While this is a very risky surgery, this is the right choice for Greyson’s future, and they feel peace knowing that they have the best pediatric brain tumor team guiding them to help make this difficult decision.
They need your help. They need your help with prayers and good thoughts for Greyson and their family as he goes through this scary surgery.
They also need help financially to be able to travel with Greyson to Boston, stay in Boston for however long is needed for recovery, and to be able to leave their jobs for the time that it is needed so that Greyson is surrounded by his loving family during such a scary time.
