More information about Tiny Lives Trust: The Tiny Lives Trust is a registered charity that helps to care for premature and sick newborn babies, their mothers and families in the Special Care Baby Unit of the Newcastle Neonatal Service based in Ward 35 of the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. The Neonatal Unit (also known as the Special Care Baby Unit) is the Regional Centre of Excellence and provides the care for all preterm and sick newborn babies, and also cares for babies who require surgery, cardiac input or respiratory support.

We are taking part in the 3 Peaks Challenge in memory of Theo Williams who was born along with his twin Rory at 30+6 weeks. Along with being premature both boys also had heart conditions. Unfortunately, Theo’s options were taken from him and he passed peacefully on 4th September 2025. During the hardest time of our lives Tiny Lives were there for us creating keepsake memories, offering support and providing memories for Theo’s twin Rory so he will always have something to remember his brother by including, a book to explain where Theo is now. Tiny Lives have also supported Rory since his discharge in October through funding of baby classes including, swimming, sensory and yoga classes. This not only is important for Rory but for us as parents to talk to other parents who have been in NICU and who have similar experiences. We don’t know what we would have done without Tiny Lives this last year and we are incredibly thankful for all they have done. This is an amazing cause and we would appreciate people donating for the lads doing this challenge if they can so Tiny Lives can continue their work and help other families.
