Hi! some of you may know me, my name is Vee (aka Veronica Jean Jones)
I’ve worked as a drag performer for almost 15 years and have been a proud trans woman for a decade.
A lot of you may have seen me out and about in fringe shows, Connections, The Court or I’ve somehow met you through the queer community.
Transitioning has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life.
Coming out as a trans woman a decade ago, I’ve faced judgment, discrimination and financial struggles all whilst working in the community as a drag performer.
Despite all of this, I’ve stayed strong, knowing that being true to myself is what matters most.
Last year I semi-retired from drag to focus on a day job, so I could finally make some money, move out from my parents and save for my surgeries.
I have been struggling financially and mentally since and I’ve realised to make the costs of surgeries is almost impossible on a casual wage in this current financial climate.
Since ive done drag from when I turned 18 I have no qualifications or skills that can further me in the “normal” world
My surgeries are simply out of reach for me and have been for the last decade
I was lucky to get my breast augmentation due to my grandparents leaving money when they passed almost 5 years ago but It’s made me feel very “unfinished”
I’ve hesitated for a long time about making one of these but your support would mean the world to me, helping me move forward in my journey and giving me the confidence and peace I’ve been longing for.
Gender-affirming surgeries are life-changing, but they’re also incredibly expensive. The cost of surgery, post-op care, and recovery adds up quickly, and as much as I’ve tried to save I’ve gotten nowhere on a showgirl wage
**How Your Contributions Will Be Used:**
•Surgery Costs: These funds will cover essential gender-affirming procedures
Facial Feminisation Surgery
Body Contouring
• Post-Op Care: Recovery can be physically and emotionally taxing, and this support will help ensure I have what I need to heal.
• A Step Toward Independence: This journey is about more than just surgery; it’s about living a life where I feel confident, secure, and at peace in my own body.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. Every single donation, no matter the size, brings me closer to my goal, and even sharing this page means the world to me.
Your support isn’t just helping me fund a surgery; it’s helping me build a life where I can truly thrive as my authentic self.
Thank you for believing in me and for being part of this !
