Who We Are

We’re the Landmine Relief Fund, a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating safe, self-sustaining futures for Cambodians still living with the deadly legacy of war.

Founded by Bill and Jill Morse, two everyday Americans who left behind their lives in California to fight for peace in Cambodia, we are fueled by the power of small donations from compassionate people across the world.

Meet the Founders

Bill Morse, a U.S. Army veteran, and his wife Jill, who worked in education and banking, spent over 20 years in Palm Springs before leaving it all behind in 2007. Their destination? Cambodia — a nation still littered with landmines and unexploded bombs.

Their mission wasn’t backed by big sponsors or big promises — just a belief that people deserve to live without fear and that education and opportunity should reach every village.

1. Cambodian Self-Help Demining (CSHD)

“We don’t clear minefields to make money. We do it so kids can go to school or people can farm without losing limbs.”

• 250+ minefields cleared

• 8.5 million+ square meters made safe

• 5,250 families directly helped

• 36,842 total beneficiaries

2. Rural School Village Program (RSVP)

“If we clear the land, we need to fill it with something good — we chose schools.”

• 28 schools built in remote villages

• 3,700+ children educated monthly

• Each school includes a clean water well, a toilet, and a paid teacher

3. Sustainable Crop Farming Program (SCFP)

“From landmines to lettuce — we’re teaching people how to thrive.”

• Teaches Hydroponics, Mushroom Farming, and Net Gardening

• Trains rural women and children to become self-reliant farmers

• Promotes sustainable, replicable farming practices at RSVP schools
