Build the Academy
Hello everyone, my name is Edward Riley and I am proud to be the Director of Hoops Basketball Academy! I have been coaching and training kids, ranging in age from 5-17, in the Greater Richmond area since 2006. My passion for the game derives from my college playing experience at Christopher Newport University; playing allowed me to earn my degree in Sociology in 2007. I want to help others to do the same, teaching the youth that basketball isn't just a game but a learning guide to life.
At Hoops we strive to provide intense fundamental, hands-on basketball training that is like no other! We teach our trainees the proper techniques through skill based drills, promoting maximum performance and confidence at any level.
This year has been a very rewarding year for Hoops Basketball Academy. Our enrollment has doubled, and the demand for training means we need more space! The cost of renting gyms multiple days a week, and the shear effort in trying to secure space on the days needed is a daunting task. We have been blessed to secure in Ashland, which we are in the process of converting into the Hoops Basketball Academy Training Facility. In our new facility we will be able to provide basketball training, youth leagues, after school care, and summer camps.
We are have opened our doors to our trainees and things are going well. With trying ti make this a facility tgat can provide numerous services to the community, we need your help! We need to raise $10,000 to cover the cost of flooring and installation, baskeball goals, and equipment. Anything is possible with your assistance and we can stay on track with getting our youth better prepared for anything!
We are grateful for your assistance and welcome you to check out our website at www.hoopsbasketballacademy.com
