My name is Jessica Joas and I am an undergraduate student at Quinnipiac University majoring in Health Sciences and minioring in Psychology. I am the first person in my immediate family to attend college and study abroad.
Science has always been a passion of mine. I decided at a young age that dedicating my life to improving the lives of others is very important to me. When I found the career path of a physician, I knew it was for me. As a Health Sciences major, I will be dealing with many different cultures in my future career. Learning how to understand and work with different cultures easily and quickly will help me further myself in my field. I believe that studying in different European countries and that of the United States would benefit me greatly in the future. The skills I will learn traveling abroad will enable me to learn how to deal with cultural differences in order to get along with others.
I am privileged to have this life changing opportunity of studying abroad in barcelona, Spain in the winter 2018. I'm asking my community to join me on this adventure of a lifetime!
