My name is Joshua McGriff and I have a dream that you can help make come true.

I am a United States Deaflympian who will compete in the 22^nd Summer Deaflympics in Sofia, Bulgaria on July 26 "“ August 4, 2013. One hundred twenty elite deaf and hard of hearing athletes will represent the USA in 10 different sports, and will be among 2,500 athletes from around the world.

But let me tell you about me. I have been hearing impaired since infancy and I received a cochlear implant at age 14. Today, I am a Senior at Franklin High School, and the only one of about 4,000 students with a hearing impairment. I plan to attend college in the fall and continue my passion in art and basketball. I stand 6ft 8inches tall, led my conference in rebounds and blocks, made all county standings, and played on several elite teams.

Being selected for the USA Summer Deaflympics Basketball Team is an honor and a major achievement. But in order participate, each Deaflympian must fundraise to cover international airfare and training expenses.

I have a deadline of July 1, 2013 to reach my fundraising goal. I am "Going 4 GOLD" and any support you can give me will be most appreciated!
