Medical Help for Prescilla Baca

Donazione protetta
Prescilla Baca is my great, great niece.  She was a typical 16 year old girl going about being a teenager in high school. She was normal, healthy and very outgoing. She was always helping her mom,Roxanne, a single mom, take care of her younger brother and sister. She was excited about learning to drive and was about to enroll at CNM to take college credit courses so that she could get ahead in life. Then on one August day, she awoke with a sore throat,  chills and fever.  Then she had a seizure which totally took everyone by surprise. She couldn't walk or talk, she trembled, had trouble remembering, and all she wanted to do was sleep. The doctors at UNMH diagnosed her with conversion disorder. Conversion disorder is a mental condition in which a person has blindness, paralysis, or other nervous system (neurologic) symptoms that cannot be explained by medical evaluation. She is now confined to a wheelchair, and is not getting any better. Help is needed to get her to Denver Children's Hospital as they are not very hopeful here and there is a greater chance of getting more help if we can get her there. We are asking for any amount to raise $10,000 as quickly as possible to get her there. The longer the period without proper treatment the less chances for a complete recovery. Please help in any amount you can.
