Charlene's Spinal Surgery
Donation protected
Well, here I am, doing something I never thought I would have to do, asking my friends for help.
As most of my friends know, I have been diagnosed with Degenerative Disk Disease and my disk between L5 and S1 is flat, bulged out the back, and there is a horizontal tear in it. After a year of working with my doctor trying, physical therapy, pain management through narcotic pain killers and epidural injections it has gotten worse instead of better. I have had to slowly give up doing a lot of the things I love due to my lack of mobility and pain.
My doctor decided it was time to look into surgery, so we decided on doing a Anterior Lumbar Fusion. It took 6 painstaking months to get it approved by insurance, and I finally have my date for surgery (October 3rd, 2016).
Things were going smoothly and today they took a major turn. I received a call from the accounting/finance office at Nebraska Spine and Pain Center telling me that in order to continue with my surgery on my scheduled date, they will need to collect my portion of the money for the surgery........$2002.00
Needless to say, I do not have that kind of money and so far my request for a payment plan has not been accepted.
So here I am......at the request of a few friends......to ask for help.......
Even as I am typing this I am going back and forth about if I want to hit the post button or not...... I HATE not being able to take care of me.
If this GoFundMe works, I will be forever in your debt. I will NEVER FORGET what you have done for me.
Thank you!!!
All my love,
Charlene
